Along with extremely heavy-duty drawer runners and a super comfortable mattress, the combination of space optimisation and quality materials makes this conversion kit one of the most versatile, robust and aesthetically-pleasing additions to your van. The memory foam mattress is handmade and upholstered using sustainably sourced recycled materials. The steel and ply parts are cut using CNC manufacturing techniques for excellent quality control assurances. Any sharp or rough edges are ground down and sanded respectively for a superior feel and outstanding functionality. Configure your conversion kit to suit your needs. Memory Foam Mattress Our tailor-made memory foam mattresses are hand-sewn by British artisans. Collectively, we’re committed to producing quality, long-lasting products, whilst limiting our environmental impact. That’s why we’ve chosen to upholster our mattresses with a soft, yet extremely high-wearing machine washable recycled fabric that really does go the extra mile. We’ve also sourced a super comfortable recycled memory foam upper and combined it with a firm foam base layer for the ultimate nights sleep. Powder Coating All of our conversion kits are finished with an industry leading ‘fine-texture’ matt powder coating, providing unrivalled protection against the elements. Before painting, the powder is mixed with extremely fine particulates, which act to further reduce scratches, scuffs and fingerprint marking. The Explorer’s standard colourway is black and anthracite, with the frame in black and the drawers in anthracite. However, feel free to customise your conversion kit by painting it in any RAL colour of your choice. This could be colour matching from parts on your van, keeping inline with your brand’s identity if you’re a business, or simply just your favourite colour! Select ‘Custom RAL Colour’ as you purchase and enter your custom RAL colour during checkout. Compatibility The Outback Explorer will fit all SWB and LWB T5, T5.1, T6 and T6.1 Panel Vans, Twin Sliders (including electric motors), Tailgate and Barn Door variations. The Explorer kit is also compatible with Kombi Vans – with or without rear bench seats. It can be installed into Shuttles too, although the rearmost row of seats will need to be removed.
